CACAO MINT SMOOTHIE
CACAO MINT SMOOTHIE
Cacao mint smoothie
Don’t know about you but I like smoothies to be full of goodness and this cacao mint smoothie is no exception. I love to go out to the garden and pick something to put in my food or drinks whether it be something small like a herb or something more substantial like fruit or vegetables.
Chocolate and mint to me happen to be one of my favourite flavour combinations. From back in the day when we as children would, as an extra special treat have a milkshake or a chocolate bar. I loved mint patties and peppermint crisp as well as a peppermint or spearmint milkshake.
But unlike those milkshakes with loads of sugar and artificial colours this drink is brimming with goodness.
Avocado is a good fat as well as providing 20 different vitamins and minerals and have more potassium than bananas. Fresh coconuts are a delicious source of hydration as well as containing antioxidants, spinach has iron, as well as being a good source of Vitamins A, K and C.
Cacao as an anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties and mint besides being rich in nutrients also aids digestion with its calming qualities. So there you have it! This cacao mint smoothie drink may not be pretty but it’s pretty good for you and that’s enough reason to drink it, besides tasting great!
