POTENT PUNCH SMOOTHIE
Potent Punch Smoothie
Sometimes we need liquid food, whether it has to do with digestion or gut issues or we just don’t have the time to sit down to a meal, you need something thats filling but will keep you sustained. I was wanting a vegetable based juice, yet at the same time I was craving a smoothie, so I came up with a juice and smoothie combo that really packs a punch, hense the name- potent punch smoothie and boy does it pack a punch.
This drink is choc full of vegetables.Celery has electrolytes which help keep you hydrated, has vitamins and minerals and helps calm any inflammation in the body.
Carrots are a good source of Beta-carotene, vitamin K, potassium and antioxidants. Spinach for vitamins K, A and C, folate, magnesium, iron and Vitamin B2. No wonder Popeye the sailor man ate spinach !
Zucchini is a good contributor for a healthy gut fas well as being high in antioxidants. Parsley is a rich in vitamin K, which supports bone and heart health.
I have thrown in some fruit for sweetness, Blueberries for their high antioxidants and vitamin C as well as great for bone and skin health. Bananas for manganese, dietary fibre, vitamins B6 and C. Hemp for being a good source of plant based protein, omegas 3 and 6, antioxidants as well as improving heart, skin and joint health.
Some fresh turmeric and ginger for their anti inflammatory and antioxidant properties. What better way to fuel your body than with this liquid meal.
